What is displayed for Maps & Reference articles?

Maps & Reference articles include a publisher logo and bibliographic details for the relevant source book, followed by the title of the item and the full text including any thumbnail images for maps or photos/illustrations. Click on a thumbnail image to display a full-page version of the relevant image on the Maps & Reference Image page.

They also include links to the Table of Contents for the source book and any front/back matter or footnotes.

What does the coloured text in the Maps & Reference article mean?

When you submit a search, the returned results use a hit highlighting feature to show you the exact words within the Full text of an item that satisfy your search. The words making up the 'hit' are emphasised in red.

Hit highlighting will pick up words that have an associated meaning to your search terms.
