Multimedia pages include the full record for a particular image, video clip or Web link. This consists of the title of the item, a short description followed by an image, links to play or download a video clip, or a link to a page on an external Web site.
To watch the video clips, it is necessary to have Windows Media® Player installed on your computer. A free Windows Media® Player plug-in can be downloaded from the Windows Media Web site at:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/default.asp
Note: Downloadable MPEG clips (when available) can be played using any media player.
When you submit a search, the returned results use a hit highlighting feature to show you the exact words within the Full text of an item that satisfy your search. The words making up the 'hit' are emphasised in red.
Hit highlighting will pick up words that have an associated meaning to your search terms.
The following options are available on Multimedia pages:
Depending on where you have accessed the Multimedia item from, there will be a link back to the previous page.
Use these links to view the previous or next item in the results list.
Note: this only applies if you have accessed the full record by carrying out a search.
View the durable URL for the item by clicking on this link. A popup will open, from which you can copy and paste the URL.
Opens the Email Item page, from where you can email the citation for the item you are viewing.
Open a version of the Full Text with all graphical elements and navigation stripped out ready for printing.
Store the current record in the Saved Records area of My Archive and come back to it at a later date by clicking the Save to My Archive link.
Generates a citation for the current item and displays it on a new page.
