Journal articles include a short citation with the article title, author and publication details followed by the full text including any thumbnail images where available. Click on a thumbnail image to display a full-page version of the relevant image.
Where an article has been individually selected for inclusion in History Study Centre, the name of the database or source the item is taken from appears at the top of the page, linking to further information.
The full text of some journal articles appears as individual page images (see below).
Note: some journal articles are only available in PDF format. In this case a link to the PDF document appears below the short citation.
When you submit a search, the returned results use a hit highlighting feature to show you the exact words within the Full text of an item that satisfy your search. The words making up the 'hit' are emphasised in red.
Hit highlighting will pick up words that have an associated meaning to your search terms.
Some journal articles appear as individual page images. In this case additional options are included on the page to navigate between pages and enlarge pages to view the text and graphics more clearly.
